Gene (r) takes a moment in front of the camera, posing with Henry Case
With winter coming on, everything on the Farm looks a little different ... the animals are growing their new coats, the plants are going dormant ...

... there's a thin layer of ice on the ponds ...
... and early morning frost makes everything shimmer.

Dried seeds blow with the wind, waiting to start life anew, miles away from here ...
The little ones grow - remember how small Stella was in May when she was first born?  She's almost as big as her mom Molly!
Molly can tell that it's getting colder - look at her breath freeze!
The colors look a little bit richer in the fall - the sky is a deeper blue...
... and the golds are more vibrant.
The turkeys and chickens take on their winter plumage...
... and the sheep their winter wool.
Just like people, some of the animals slow down in the colder weather ... check out Shakes - is he a big, mighty steer ...
... or a lazy old dog?
Check out the rest of the photos ...
And enjoy autumn on the Farm with us!
