MEATS

Pasture-Raised Chicken

Our chickens are raised on pasture in protective structures and moved daily so they can access fresh forage like grass, cover crops, bugs, and worms. They also eat a high-quality chicken feed we grind ourselves using our own non-GMO grains and special supplements. Because of how our chickens are raised, this meat is extremely tender and juicy!

$5.50/lb

PLEASE NOTE: Heritage Farms chicken sold at Kroger is NOT a GHF product. GHF does not sell our chicken through Kroger, only in our Farm Shop. We have received several complaints about this product and it is in no way affiliated with Gorman Heritage Farm.

Pastured Pork

At Gorman Heritage Farm we raise a small number of pastured hogs each year. Raised on fresh, green, herbicide- and pesticide-free pasture with room to root, wallow, and socialize, our hogs produce high-quality pork that is antibiotic and hormone free. Expected weight at processing is 225-275 pounds, approximately 70-75 pounds of meat per half share. Cost per pound finished weight is $6.50.

Deposit: Half share $200/Whole share $400

Balance due at pickup in early October.

Grass-fed Beef

Delicious grass-fed beef from your local farm to your freezer! Our beef cattle peacefully graze on Gorman Heritage Farm’s rolling hillsides. Regular pasture rotation maintains the cattle’s natural health and allows the grass to recover – an important carbon sequestration climate solution! Beef is sold in half or whole shares. Consider splitting a share with family or friends! You get to choose how your meat is cut. Cost is based on hang weight and includes processing costs. Expected weight at processing is 1000-1200 pounds with a hang weight of 600-800 pounds. For a whole share that equals approximately 550 lbs of beef in your freezer; 225 pounds for a half share. Cost per pound finished weight is $7.00.

Deposit: Half share $250/Whole share $500

Balance due at pickup in late October.
